Enjoy fresh baked bread, organic vegetables, herbal hand soap, hand knitted crafts, street tacos, artisan yogurt, and so much more at the Ballard Farmers Market. The market is held year round, every Sunday 10am to 3pm. Even in the winter months the market boasts nearly 150 vendor booths. If you’re looking for entertainment the market hosts several local street performers to enjoy as you shop.
We found some colorful mushrooms and delicious pretzel rolls for dinner. The mushrooms were delightful sauteed in garlic butter over some pasta and the rolls made the perfect side.
The market has been a presence in Ballard for the last fifteen years and is held on the historic cobble stone portion of Market Street. Many small boutique stores and bistros line the streets, so if you need to dunk out of Seattle’s frequent rain showers, visit one of these small shops. We did just that stopping at Dandelion Botanical and purchasing some loose leaf tea.
