I have lived in this town for several years now and hadn’t ever stopped at Dot City Park. Even though I drive by it often I’m sure glad I did, as I really could see the work that has gone into this little pocket park in Darrington, Wa. Dorothy “Dot” Larson had donated the land several years ago and I think she’d be proud.
We have local residents that spend many hours tending to its whimsical landscape. The park consists of a large lawn that is encircled primarily in rhododendron of many different varieties. Excellent views of Jumbo Mountain, Whitehorse Mountain and Gold Hill tower over the blossoms. It’s simply sweet and such a pleasant place to be.
