The Lowell Riverfront Park is a gorgeous park with views of the scenic Snohomish River and the snow capped Cascades. The park has 1.75 miles of walking trails and a boat launch. Their are many wonderful places to have a picnic along this trail.
The idea for a Lowell park was born when the city of Lowell was annexed by Everett, Wa in 1962. In 1969 the city asked for funding for a park to be called Candy Cane Park. The name was eventually changed to Lowell Riverfront Park and was opened in June of 1970. The park originally had a wading pool, playground and tennis courts. Over the years flooding and wear have taken these features.
The park remains a great place to take a walk or a run. The trail is both kid and dog friendly.
