What a pretty spot to embark on a wild adventure on the Sauk River! I would even just hang out here for a day. There’s a nice picnic shelter and Honey Bucket available. Plus trails to the river. What more could you need than a few trees, mountainous views and a river?
The launch itself is sandy and perfect for launching your watercraft. Just be mindful that the Sauk isn’t a lazy river. Maybe it’s a better spot for more experienced boaters. For me, I was content just taking in the scenery.
